U Kyu Family Grain & Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1955 and officially registered in 1999. Commonly known as “U Kyu Family,” the company has grown into one of Myanmar’s leading wheat flour manufacturers. Through the use of advanced milling technology and modern laboratory equipment, the company ensures its products consistently meet both market demand and international quality standards.
By 2015, U Kyu Family had captured more than 55% of Myanmar’s flour market consumption, driven by its reputation for producing reliable, hygienic, and customized flour products that cater to diverse customer needs. The company is also recognized for its strong distribution network and customer-focused service approach.
For the 2014–2015 financial year, U Kyu Family operated branch offices in 11 major cities across Myanmar and maintained over 4,000 strategic business alliances nationwide. In addition, the company regularly invests in employee development through operational and technical training programs, enabling staff to better support customers and maintain high service standards.
We are milling at 600 tons per day from three (3) mills in Yangon. Our State-of-art milling technologies are all from Buhler, Switzerland. With our current technologies, we are able to mill flour according to market demand while meeting international quality standards. We are proud to enable manufacturers and bakers to pass on the promise to their customers of baking from 100% of U Kyu Family made flour.

At the heart of our quality control, resides our laboratory and bakery. With our current technologies, we are able to precisely determine the quality of the product that is delivered to your business. During and following the production process, samples are continuously being taken to verify that the desired quality has been obtained. Only after a wide-ranging series of tests, we are able to validate the chemical and physical properties of the flour. On the basis of the results of the analyses, we are able to make adjustments in the production in order to guarantee the consistent quality of our final products. We also have test bakery at our disposal in which experienced bakers are constantly performing checks and extensive analyses of the ingredients and products. We can only be certain of the final result when we see and taste it ourselves.
